Projects
By streamlining the funding process, CESUs efficiently facilitate collaboration between partner research institutions and federal agencies on research that informs environmental and cultural management decision-making for the agencies.
How Projects Work
Step 1
A federal agency partner, like the National Park Service or Department of Defense, submits a project opportunity, called a Request for Statements of Interest (RSOI). The host posts the oppportunity to the website and distributes to the members of our mailing list.
Step 2
A principal investigator (PI) from a member non-federal partner institution, like a university or non-profit organization, applies to be a principal investigator (PI) on projects that align with their specific interests and areas of expertise by responding to the RSOI.
Step 3
The federal partner selects a PI from the non-federal partner applicants. Then, the project commences and the non-federal partner receives funding for research and/or technical assistance from the PI.
Projects Database
The CW CESU maintains an online database of all projects associated with our CESU. Whenever possible, digital copies of the task agreement and the final reports have been attached to each project. You can explore the database by toggling each option below.
