NACE’s seasonal archeologist position is now open, closing on January 28^th or once 100 applications are received. This is a GS-11 position that will last approximately 6 months.

Major duties include:

• Monitoring and evaluating the integrity of archeological resources and developing management strategies to address risks and threats.
• Planning, conducting, and coordinating archeological research, investigations, and monitoring activities.
• Conducting compliance activities under Section 106, NAGPRA, ARPA, and related authorities.
• Advancing understanding of cultural resources through GPS and GIS mapping.
